Brigit, a personal finance app offering overdraft coverage, emergency loans, and budgeting tools, says it raised $35M Series A in early 2020 led by Lightspeed  —  Nearly two decades before Zuben Mathews co-founded a consumer fintech app, he was studying economics at the University of Chicago.

Similarly, Lucia Jensen, the CEO of WeLoans was aware that loans can come at a time of need, so she started a broker company, called WeLoans, to help more borrowers get funds in need such as startup.
